The beautiful state park is located along the Tickfaw River, the 1200-acre huge park offers many family-friendly activities and amenities. Tickfaw state park has a unique ecosystem that makes it a must visit for nature lovers, the park has swamps, hardwood forests, the Tickfaw River where visitors can enjoy fishing and canoeing. The park offers campsites, hiking trails, biking trails and opportunities of bird watching. Visitors can spot plenty of wildlife in the park, including alligators of the fishing pond. The water playground in the park lets you beat the heat and enjoy water fun with family. The park is open everyday and all year-round.

• Take a break and enjoy a fun-filled day with your family at the state park, trek the nature trails, the park has a boardwalk and river trail where you can encounter wildlife and enjoy birding.
• You can spot alligators, beaver, deer, turtles, snakes and birds including, water fowls, blue heron, and songbirds.
• The water playground is a great way to beat the heat, open April through October. A playground is also on-site.
• Enjoy canoeing and kayaking in the Tickfaw River. Enjoy fishing at the fishing pier.
• Enjoy an outdoor grill and picnic with your family at the picnic sites.
• Interesting in buying some souvenirs, visit the gift shop in the nature center.
