Activity Overview

St. Louis' Tower Grove Park is a National Historic Landmark for good reason. There is fine craftsmanship and splendid architecture throughout the park, much of which comes from the late 19th century when the park was first opened. It is not just some historical museum however, Tower Grove Park is beloved by the people of St. Louis and sees heavy usage throughout the year. People come for the beautiful surroundings through which you can jog or stroll and the pleasant family friendly atmosphere.

Things to Do

• People don't always realize that there are some great facilities for sports at Tower Grove Park. Twelve hard surfaced tennis courts and more grass ones, corkball, baseball and softball fields and numerous soccer fields are all on offer. Then there are its paths which are rightfully popular with joggers and cyclists.
• Tower Grove Park is home to two great playgrounds that children should be sure to enjoy. The Central playground has a number of play structures and swings and is designed to comply with ADA standards. The East Playground, which was only reopened after an extensive renovation a few years ago is another fun area with slides and climbing structures. Best of all is the wading pool, fountains and pop jets that are turned on for everyone to enjoy from early summer until late autumn.
