The Trapp Family Lodge is a unique European-style resort in Stowe, Vermont that is owned by the Trapp family, who are best known as the family portrayed in the film The Sound of Music. After leaving Austria, the family settled in the mountains of Vermont, and after several years decided to operate their home as a ski lodge. Over the years, the mountain resort has been expanded to include family activities for every season, including cross-country skiing, mountain biking, hiking, maple sugaring, swimming, and arts and crafts.
