Activity Overview
Since 1968 NASCAR style racing entertainment has been offered at the Tucson Speedway. Here you can enjoy races in Limited Late Model, Super Late Model, Pro-Stock, Modified and Hornets categories. Races usually happen on a Saturday night and make for a different way to spend date night or for a novel night out with the kids. With Tucson's warm weather you can sit out and enjoy the atmosphere, a beer and a top quality race.
Things to Do
- Considering the Tucson Speedway went through a major renovation and re-branding in 2012 all the facilities here are of a high standard. Most importantly the 3/8 mile asphalt track is perfect for racing. The skill of the drivers here is impressive and the occasional crash which takes place reminds you of the risk they take every time they sit behind the wheel. It is possible to while away quite a few hours here watching the races and indulging at the concession stands!
- Aside from the regular races the Speedway also plays host to certain special events at times too. These can include Demolition Derbies, Monster Trucks and Freestyle Motocross. Though these are different experiences to the races they can often be a lot of fun since they aren't quite as serious.
