Buckle up for a fun and interactive time at Unser Racing Museum. This is a must-go place for racing enthusiasts and even those who are not a fan of the sport will definitely find something appealing in this museum. The museum is also a tribute to New Mexico's native racing family, the Unsers. You will find race cars, suits, info boards, and lots of information about generations of Unser family race car drivers. If you're lucky, Al Unser himself might just be the one to tour you around the museum.
Things to Do
- See motorcycles from the days of Board Track Racing, NASCAR cars, and restored race cars. Learn about the family's history from dirt track up to snowmobile racing. Use the racing simulator and see how fast you can go. The displays are showcased in two buildings so make sure you visit both. You'll find more cars, trophies, race suits, and helmets in the second building. Volunteers are around the place and you can always ask them if you have inquiries.
- You will surely find something to take home with you at the museum store. Choose from autographed memorabilia, mugs, toys, caps, and shirts for your souvenir.
