This incredibly simple Vanishing Water magic trick is sure to amaze your audience. Pour water into a cup right in front of everyone and when you dump the cup over, the water seemingly has disappeared. This fun trick is easy to perform even for the youngest of magicians.

Materials Needed
- Solid colored opaque cup
- A glass measuring cup
- Water
- A fresh sponge
How To Do It
- In preparation for this fun magic trick, stuff a fresh sponge into the bottom of the opaque cup. Stuff it in so that it covers the entire bottom of the cup and remains securely in place.
- Set the cup standing up on the table alongside your measuring cup of water.
- Inform your audience that you have a magical cup that makes whatever liquid that is poured into it disappear.
- Keep audience members at a safe distance so that they cannot peek into the cup.
- Pour a little bit of water into the cup.
- Say a few magic words and wave your hands over the cup.
- Pause for a few moments so that the sponge can absorb the liquid.
- Turn the cup over and the water will remain inside of the sponge and won't pour out.
