Activity Overview
Looking for something adventurous for you and your family to do this weekend? Why not head to Woodland, just half an hour northwest of Sacramento, for a spot of wakeboarding. While the park certainly focuses on wakeboarding, there several other amenities for you and the kids to enjoy.
Things to Do
- Learn how to wakeboard. Is this your first time? Kids and beginners can enjoy learning how to wakeboard in Velociy Island Park's System 2.0 Park. Staff are also on hand to show you how to do it. If you're a little self-conscious, you can also rent out the area as a private party until you start showing off in the Full Size Cable lake.
- Feel like relaxing after all the wakeboarding? Why don't you hang out on the beach? Velocity Island Park features several hundred feet of sandy beaches where those who aren't taking part in the wakeboarding can sit in the shade and watch the others fly by!
- Rent a tropical cabana. If you are considering having a birthday party at Velocity Island Park, you can do so from the comfort of the cabana, taking turns to have a go at the wakeboarding.
Velocity Island Park Insider Tips
- If you'd prefer to go paddleboarding rather than wakeboarding. Go to Velocity Island Park between 8 and 10 in the morning before the wakeboarding begins.
- Velocity Island Park offers summer camps. If you're working during the summer and the kids can't wait to go wakeboarding, why not send them to one of the park's full-day or half-day camps?
