Things to Do
- The Museum's collection centers on its military aircraft. There are fighters, bombers cargo planes, trainers, liaison and reconnaissance aircraft from various periods of the last century. The jewel in the crown however is their B-29 Superfortress. This massive aircraft which was essential to the Allied bombing campaigns during the Second World War is maintained in working order. It is possible to buy a seat on board for flights that take place in different parts of the country throughout the year. A ride on the Superfortress is by far the most expensive option though there are flights on other craft which are also available for less.
- The Museum try to bring the history of this airplanes to as many children as possible. Due to this they organize educational programs for school students there most common of which are their Take Flight Days. As part of this program pupils get great access to everything the Museum holds and get the opportunity to learn all about the science and history of aviation.
