Activity Overview
WonderWorks is a different kind of museum. There are five of them across the United States and one of them can be found on International Drive. The WonderWorks calls their experience "edu-tainment" and has over 35,000 square feet of the stuff. The little ones are guaranteed to have a blast here!
Things to Do
- Learn about the one of the greatest scientists ever, Nikola Tesla, as you and your little ones conduct 100,000 volts of electricity through your hands.
- Experience the 1989 San Francisco Earthquake from the Earthquake Cafe. As long as you're over 36" tall, you can feel what it was like.
- Brave a hurricane in the Hurricane Shack. Here the wind blows at 71 miles per hour, making it a category 1 hurricane.
- See just how long you can bear the freezing 28-degree waters that the passengers on the Titanic were forced to endure. Fortunately, you only have to put your hand in and you can take it out whenever you want!
- Climb aboard a replica of the Mercury Capsule from the first of NASA's spaceflight programs.
- Land the Space Shuttle (in a simulator, of course) or test your astronaut abilities in the Astronaut Training Challenge.
- Play laser tag or enjoy the ropes course. Your little ones can enjoy monkeying around or shooting one another in a fun and safe way.
- Head to the Imagination Lab where kids can exercise their brains through creative activities.
